This is wooden jewellery with real historical provenance and will make a truly unusual 5th wedding anniversary gift.
The wooden rings are hand crafted from prehistoric Irish Bog Oak which has lain in an Irish peat bog for nearly 10 thousand years, taking on the colour of the soil and resulting in the fantastic dark patternation detailed in the product photos. We have combined the Bog Oak with alternating layers of new Oak, giving the ring contrast and incredible strength and flexibility.
The Bog Oak rings are preserved with a specialist resin and then coated with hardwearing maintenance free lacquer . The rings measure 7mm wide by just over 2mm in-depth and are presented in a black leatherette ring box as standard.
